There has been a tremendous increase of up to 650 percent in pension. But the law has not been officially confirmed by the Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO or the government.

In an RTA reply from EPFO, it is written that the minimum pension of ₹7500 has not been approved yet. The High Level Monitoring Committee had recommended the minimum pension to be ₹2000. However, it was not accepted by the Finance Ministry.
EPS 95 National Education Committee met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and demanded a minimum pension of ₹ 7500 and free medical facility. The committee has said that a pension of ₹ 1000 is not able to meet the basic needs in today’s time.
