An important announcement has been made by the central government for the pensioners of Employee Pension Scheme 95 i.e. EPS 95.

EPS-95 Pension Yojana Update
EPS-95 Pension means Employee Pension Scheme 1995 which is operated by the Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO. The scheme is for every employee who has deposited contribution in EPF Provident Fund after 1995.
Under EPS-95, the employee must make regular contributions to EPF for a minimum of 10 years and the minimum age at retirement must be 58 years. Employees from both the organized and unorganized sectors are eligible for EPS-95 pension.
What did EPS-95 pensioners get under the announcement?
Big news is coming out that the central government has decided to give a free assistance amount of ₹ 50000 to EPS-95 pensioners. Due to this decision, you will be able to easily fulfill your immediate needs. Along with this, the monthly pension amount is going to increase, it is going to be ₹ 7500 every month.
Earlier this amount was only ₹1000 which was very less for each senior citizen but after the decision, the income will increase and due to this you will get a lot of help.
When will the scheme be implemented?
News is also coming out that this scheme is being implemented by the government from August 1, 2025. After this, from August 1, 2025, 7500 pension will start coming every month in the account of EPS 95 pensioners, which is about 78 lakh beneficiaries under this EPS 95 scheme, who are going to get direct benefits.
