EPS-95 pending payment date and its amount: Friends, the long awaited update on the EPS-95 pension due in the month of July 2025 has finally come out, this is a great news.
Senior citizens as well as retired employees under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS-95) pension are eagerly waiting for the official confirmation regarding the EPFO payment date as well as the expected increase.
The status of pending dues has been clarified by the government and new data has been released on the proposal of Rs. 7500 pension hike which has become a topic of discussion across the country in the last one year.
Why is EPS-95 pension arrears in the news?
Friends, the matter of EPS-95 pension arrears is many years old. You must be worried. You have been appealing for a change in your monthly payment because the old period is not in accordance with the cost of living.
So in response to this, the government has considered increasing the pension by 7500 percent from the base limit of ₹ 1000 every month and a main payment of the outstanding amount.
I would like to inform you that the Employees Provident Fund Organisation has been put under pressure to finalise the date of EPF payment as well as to provide a clear amount to the pensioners having more than Rs 30 lakh as pension.
The phased distribution of the pension has already started by the month of July 2025 and the first round of arrears has also been successfully published by the EPFO to the selected pensioners on the basis of eligibility and documentation.

Increase of ₹ 7500 and its benefits
- All the pensioners who have 20 years of continuous service are getting priority.
- Eligible retired employees will be given an increase of ₹ 7500 after payment of arrears.
- Government employees and EPF contributors who have opted for higher salary are said to be more likely to be eligible.
