The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) has launched this dedicated portal to help investors claim refunds from four specific cooperative societies under the Sahara Group:
- Sahara Credit Cooperative Society
- Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society
- Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society
- Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society
CRCS-Sahara Refund Who is Eligible to Claim Refund?
Not every investor can file a claim. The government has set some clear eligibility rules:
- You must have invested before March 22, 2022
- Your investment tenure should be completed
- You must have original documents, including:
- Investment receipts
- A valid, updated passbook
- A bank account linked to Aadhaar
And a mobile number also linked to Aadhaar for OTP verification

- Visit the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal
- Click on “Investor Registration”
- Enter your Aadhaar number and linked mobile number
- Login using the OTP sent to your phone
- Enter your claim amount and agree to the declaration
Submit the form and save your reference number to track your claim status later
How Much Will You Get and When?
The government has allocated ₹5,000 crore for the first phase of refunds. Here’s what to expect:
- Each investor may receive up to ₹10,000 in the first round
- Priority is being given to small investors
- Refunds are likely to be processed within 45–60 days
- The amount will be directly credited to your bank account
How to Track Your Refund Status
Once you’ve applied, you can easily track the status of your claim:
- Login to the portal
- Click on “Track Claim Status”
- Enter your reference number or Aadhaar number
