For the first time, EPFO started the auto settlement system for advance claims during the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to which citizens could access their funds. Earlier the limit was up to ₹ 100000.
But now it has increased to Rs 5 lakh, this will benefit a lot of people, those who suddenly need money in an emergency situation will benefit a lot.

18-25 age group is ahead
According to the latest data provided by EPFO, 19.14 lakh members have joined in April 2025. Compared to March 2025, it was 31.33% more and compared to April 2025 last year, it is 11.17% more.
The biggest participation is from the youth between 18 and 25 years. In this age group, 4.89 lakh people have joined EPFO which is 57.67% of the total new members.
Maharashtra state became the top
If we talk about state wise figures, Maharashtra has added the maximum number of new PF members leaving behind all other states and at the same time there are 15.77 lakh people who have rejoined EPFO in April 2025 only after leaving it.
This seems to be a strong indication that awareness of PF is increasing significantly at the employment opportunity.
