Lakhs of employees as well as pensioners of India are eagerly waiting for the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission across the country. The new formation has now been done by the commission.
According to the information given by the government, a decision has been taken in the Parliament that no official approval has been announced yet by the Central Government regarding the 8th Pay Commission.
Every employee and pensioner will be considered for the commission, after which the salary hike and pension will be decided, under this, a written reply has already been given in the Lok Sabha by the Minister of State in the Finance Ministry, Pankaj Chaudhary.
The Government of India has prepared the 8th Pay Commission to review the allowances and pensions of central government employees and pensioners. Apart from this, a new pay commission is constituted by the government every 10 years.
So that the salary and dearness allowance of government employees and those economic factors can be adjusted. If this is implemented then 50 lakh employees and 65 lakh pensioners will get the benefit.
Government’s reply in writing
The recommendation of the Eighth Pay Commission is going to be implemented from 1 January 2026 and the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission was also implemented from 1 January 2016. Along with this, there will be an increase in the salary of government employees, the new salary is going to be determined now. For this, there is going to be an increase in dearness and other allowances. The government has approved the Eighth Pay Commission and the Finance Ministry has also directed the ministries and departments to collect the relevant information.
Let us tell you that according to the answer given by Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary in Parliament, the information about the Eighth Pay Commission has become clear that some important questions were asked by MPs TR Balu and Anand Bhadoria regarding its formation. Giving the answer to this, the estimated date of 1 January 2025 was announced by the commission and it has been clearly informed by Pankaj Chaudhary that various suggestions have been received regarding the Eighth Pay Commission from the Defense Ministry, Home Ministry, Personnel and Training Department and the State Government.
Along with this, after the appointment of the Chairman and Member on the basis of the information as per the suggestion, a formal notification will be issued by the government and instructions related to the implementation of the Eighth Pay Commission will also be issued by the government soon.
Changes in salary and pension of employees

Along with this, the pension of all the retired employees will also increase simultaneously. And it has also been approved by the MP and the central employees have been waiting for the formation of the 8th Pay Commission for a long time.
