Under the new rules, you will not get your registry money back. If you do all the fraud then there is a high chance that all your hard earned money will go down the drain.

So let us look at the new law through this article and try to know everything in detail.

Why is it necessary to change the registry?

Many people in India face problems like fraud while buying property in Farrukhabad. Many people buy property without knowing everything and later it is known that the land is disputed or someone is already running on that land. In such cases, many people are very keen to get their money back by cancelling the registry but earlier there was no provision for this in the law.

Now the government has taken strict action on this and new rules have been implemented so that people who get the registration done in the wrong way can be taught a lesson and middlemen cannot take wrong advantage of this process.

Know what the new registry law says?

If the new registry law is to be believed, under this, if you have got the registration of a property done and later face any dispute, then you will not get the registry fee back. This means that the entire registry fee will be successfully deposited in the government treasury.

Along with this, if in any case the registry gets cancelled, then certain conditions have been imposed for the refund. Only in very special circumstances the money can be refunded by the government.

In which situation the money will not be returned?

Money cannot be refunded in the following cases given below:-

  • If you have got the registration of any disputed land done.
  • If you are thinking of cancelling the registry due to duplicate documents.
  • If the buyer cancels the deal later.
  • If the registry is being cancelled by court order.

So if you are facing the above issue then you will not get any refund of the registry fees or stamp duty.

Refund will be given under any condition

  • If the registry is cancelled due to technical error.
  • If the entire property transaction is not successful.
  • If the Government Order Registry is found to be invalid.
