7th Pay Commission Special Leave Update : Hello friends, if you are a government employee and are thinking of taking a big decision like organ donation, then a very good news has come for all of you. Yes, you are hearing it right.
Let us tell you that a new rule has been implemented by the government under which employees will get special casual leave of up to 42 days. This leave will be with salary and its aim is to provide adequate rest and recovery time to the donor.
Know the new rule
Friends, an order has been issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) under which it has been informed that if a government employee avails security, then a maximum leave of 42 days will be provided to all such government employees. This rule has been implemented by the central government in all ministries, departments and institutions.
Know the role of NOTTO?
Let me tell you that this decision taken by the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) has been supported. According to them, it has been informed that organ donation is a part of a complex process and it is very important for the donor to get adequate rest to be completely healthy physically.
Who will be given full 42 days leave
- It will be provided to those people who voluntarily donate kidney, part of liver and other organs.
- Employees who perform surgery in a recognized hospital will be given 42 days of leave.
- Rest is definitely advised by the doctor for recovery.
- It is mandatory to submit medical documents and certificates.
All employees fulfilling the above eligibility will be provided 42 days leave.
You can get leave even before surgery
I want to inform you people that it has been clearly stated by the Government that if the doctor advises you for hospitalisation or testis before the surgery, then in this case 42 days will be added to the leave.
Let us make it clear that a maximum of 42 days leave including the time before and after the surgery will be provided to all of you by the government.
To which parts will this rule apply
If you donate the organs given below then you will be considered eligible to follow this rule, that is, this rule will be applicable to you employees.
- Any person can donate one of his kidneys.
- Can donate part of the liver.
- Part of the pancreas is also included in it.
How to apply for 42 days additional leave?
- To apply for additional leave of 42 days, one has to obtain a certificate from a recognized hospital.
- Complete details of the surgery and recovery have to be obtained from the doctor.
- Make sure to keep the leave recommendation letter with you.
- You have to submit the application along with the important documents in your department.
- After getting the permission, 42 days special leave will be approved, i.e. you will get the leave.
