The successful mega events of 9th Annual Conferences of Indian Society of Cardiology at Global Hospital Chennai has given a new inspiration for the growth of the society. The over whelming response of the members for conference and recognition of the Associate Fellowship Award has forced the governing council to review its decision about membership drive for physicians and to continue award of Associate Fellowship for physician members so the theme of the society " To provide the best possible Cardiac Care to the Community " is being fulfilled.
The society has recognised the outstanding contribution of Dr. Rajendra Tondan, Dr. R.P. Sapru, Dr. M. Khalilullha, Dr. S. Radha Krishnan, Dr. James Thomas, Dr. Naveen C. Nanda and Dr. A. Nogami from Japan towards the speciality of Cardiology in India and society has honoured him by awarding the ISC Oration with cash award prize of Rs. 1,00,000/- (One lac only) during the conferences for their outstanding contribution towards Clinical Cardiology during its Annual Conferences of Indian Society of Cardiology. This year Dr. Samin Sharma, M.D. FACC, Mount Sinai Hospital, New York has been selected for the award of ISC Oration 2015.
The society has also recognize the contribution of physicians towards the emergency critical care of cardiac patients and sofar 100 physician / cardiologist life members, on account of their educational qualificational and experience in the field of cardiology have been awarded with Associate Fellowship of the society during Annual Conferences of Indian Society of Cardiology. The one time programme of award of associate fellowship has been made a regular feature for its life member physicians.
Also to enrich the society with scientific armamentarium, the society is honoring academic excellence of its honorable members by awarding fellowships to a limited number of elected members. Also to inspire the budding physicians towards cardiology, the society has started National cardiology quiz competition for MD & DM residents on regular basis in every conference.
Eligibility criteria for Life membership : Fee Rs. 5000/-
- M.D. (Medicine or any other relevant medical speciality / DNB (Medicine)
- DM (Cardiology)/MCh (CTVS) / DNB (Cardiology) / DNB (CTVS)
The eligibility criteria for Associate Fellowship : Fee Rs. 10,000/-
1. DM (Cardiology) - 5 years with significant scientific contribution in the field of Cardiology
2. M.D. (Medicine) - 15 years with outstanding excellence in the field of Clinical Cardiology.
The eligibility criteria for elected fellowship : Fee Rs. 10,000/-
1. DM (Cardiology) - 10 years with significant scientific contribution in the field of cardiology
2. M.D. (Medicine) - 25 years with outstanding excellence in the field of cardiology.
The 10th annual conference of Indian Society of Cardiology at J.L.N. Medical College, Ajmer from 25 to 27th Sep., 2015.
Last date for application for award of fellowship is 30th June, 2015.
